Portrush Playhouse in association with B.F Entertainments Presents GARY MOORE TRIBUTE CONCERT featuring The Lee Hedley Band // Sam Davidson (Taste) & The Pontiax (Blues Band)

To coincide with the 1st anniversary of Gary Moore’s death, this is a special Tribute Concert and will feature the incomparable Lee Hedley Band and Sam Davidson (Taste) with the Pontiax Blues Band.

Both Lee Hedley Band and Sam Davidson & The Pontiax are well-travelled and no strangers to the live music scene both here and abroad. On this occasion they will come together to pay homage to Norn Iron’s finest blues rock guitarist Gary Moore, who sadly passed away on 6th February 2011. Lee’s own guitarist Marty Rowland who was a founding member of Flash Harry (back in the day) has been compared to Gary Moore by the music press and fans alike.

Sam Davidson has been fronting John Wilson’s Taste for the last decade touring across Europe to the soundtrack of Rory Gallagher. Now he is stepping aside specially to honour Gary Moore’s collection of classic rock and blues.

The concert will display both bands interpretations of Gary Moore’s finest classics spanning both the rock AND the blues spectrum that the guitar legend was loved for.

This concert is expected to be a sell-out so early booking is advised.
