The Playhouse Cinema & Theatre is a multi-use venue that combines live action sports from Six Nations, Premier League, Champions League and other major sporting events on our 22 foot high definition screen. We also show Matinee movies for kids to give their long suffering parents a well deserved break during the summer holidays. Watch out in our listings for regular movie theme nights showing art house type movies not available in your local multiplex.

The Playhouse Theatre also plays host to live events and is already receiving critical acclaim for sell out gigs from bands as diverse as Flash Harry, The Hothouse Flowers, The Christians, and Bagatelle among others. Patrons can relax in the sumptuous luxury of an original converted art deco cinema whilst having drinks brought to their seat. The Playhouse also has a policy of supporting local talent where you can catch local bands such as Earth Muffin, Picture the Sound and Kesus. Fusing the atmosphere of an underground cool club with contemporary decor and luxurious surroundings is a difficult ask but Suckerfish has pulled it off. Kick off the night with a few drinks in the downstairs bar before heading to Northern Ireland's hottest new club. Suckerfish mixes live music and DJ's in equal measure and continues The Playhouse policy of combining Global acts and local talent.
